It all happened one busy Thursday (9/5/2013) afternoon when I was at work and then I got this whatsapp message from Wifey showing me this picture...
Aaaaaaahhh!!! I almost fell of my chair!!!
Bakkkkk Changgggg!!!
I shouted deep inside...
This is my favorite yummy yum yum...
Eeerrrrr... Actually everything edible is my favorite lah because my favorite food is "FOOD!!!"
I was so touched with this whatsapp which also said said,
***In her exact words
>>>Since I know is your favour!!
>>>Expensive :(
Then I said "Yay!!!" and asked...
<<<Where??? How much RM???
>>>If you love me I will love you wan
>>>Near Dang Wangi
>>>5.5
<<<If you don't love me I still love you one!!!
>>>Sure meh??
>>>I doubt so wor
<<<Berry the sure!!!
***After many more conversations she said,
>>>I still hunt the bak Chang for you when ppl told me is nice even with a bump
<<<That's why I love you tor tor tor tor!!!
I was so excited and quickly posted up on FB and had to share this beautiful feeling with all my friends... Lol!!! I can't wait to have the bak chang for my supper!!!
I was mostly excited because this kinda whatsapp or messages comes from my wifey only once in a blue blue blue moon!!! Lol...
Anyways... I had my bak chang that night and it was simply fantastic!!! I got note that this Bak Chang was from that famous shop at Jalan Dang Wangi called Yut Kee... They are also famous for their Moist Marble Butter Cake and Crispy Oink Oink Knuckle... :p,,,
I wrote this as my review for the Bak Chang in my FB:
Super
Time!!!
The bak chang my darling bought for me all the
way from Dang Wangi...
The glutinous rice is sticky and soft with just
the right seasoning, when you venture your fork into it, the fragrant
Shallot and Garlic oils will put a tingle in your tummy...
The dried
shitake has that springy bite, the ratio of belly oink's collagen is
3:1, the sweet nut was nutty and crunchy, the salted egg yolk is
generous and sandy and finally the dried shrimp is simply savory good...
You surely know the way to my heart today!!!
Love you tor tor!!!
Now came to the main reason how this blog got started...
A friend (her friend) commented, "Dude, you can be a food writer"
I thought to myself...
Aiyo!!! Die!!!
This morning she kinda snapped at me... I kena hantam kaw kaw... She commented that I'm always online & chatting late at night and those are not gonna make me any extra income and it's useless, blah blah blah... She believes that I can do better and told me numerous times that I should start a blog or something because it seems that ppl do get paid (ppl she knows lah) like USD*** a month and it's money...
Aiyo... Yes indeed it's money but I've not found my heart there yet and doing something without heart ain't me... The conversation ended there at breakfast then we rushed to work...
Later in the afternoon I remembered a FB friend's notification from the MNGC group I'm in asking me to go see her reply to the comment I made on her blog a couple of days ago... (***Coincidentally I read her blog for the first time about a blue edible flower lah and posted a comment) read her encouraging reply I then thought of the MNGC founder's blog because my Jie Jie recently dug up a rhizome for me and I needed to know more about the Kantan that I'm attempting to grow at my Mummy's place...
Hmmmmmm!!! Eh, not bad leh sharing things on blogs!!! Ok lah, maybe I give it a try...
So this evening I gave it a go signing up, adjusting this and that, etc and now I have this first post...
Phew!!!
So... I will treat this like an Indian arranged marriage... I've married my blog and now I must make much effort to fall in love with my blog and hope that we will live happily together!!!
Funny huh... My blog started through my Yummy Belly!!!
